As if building a complete spiral stair out of steel, stainless steel, opaque glass and wood wasn’t a big enough challenge. This existing building with a new hole cut in the interior 3rd floor required the stairs to be flown through a 6’ square window on the 2nd floor piece by piece.

First assembled in Phoenix, then broken down, shipped to Denver and reassembled. This radius, side mount glass stair with wood treads, stainless steel hand and top rails was a true compliment to the quality of the team at SMI. From the sales and detailing departments working with the architects on design and budget, to the shop and field making it all come together.
